What is a filling and sealing machine?

It is a machine that dispenses a product into a package and then closes the package by heat sealing, ultrasonic sealing, vacuum sealing, folding or another compatible sealing method.

What is the difference between capping and sealing?

Capping normally applies a separate closure such as a screw cap, pump, plug or lid. Sealing normally joins packaging surfaces or a sealing film through heat, ultrasound, pressure, vacuum or mechanical forming.

Can one machine fill liquids, pastes and powders?

The filling system must match the product. Liquids may use pumps, pastes may require piston or rotor systems, powders may use augers and granules may require weighing or volumetric dosing.

Can one machine seal different package sizes?

Compatible sizes may be handled using adjustments or change parts. Different cup shapes, tube diameters, pouch widths or sealing profiles may require separate molds, guides, heating blocks or sealing jaws.

How is sealing temperature selected?
