VFFS WORKING PROCESS

How Does a VFFS Packaging Machine Work?

A vertical form fill seal machine converts roll film into finished packages through continuous bag forming, product dosing, sealing and cutting.

Film Unwinding

Roll film is automatically unwound and guided through the machine.

Bag Forming

Film passes through the forming collar and is shaped into a bag.

Product Dosing

The selected dosing system measures and fills the product.

Heat Sealing

The bag is vertically and horizontally sealed at set temperatures.

Bag Cutting

Finished sachets or bags are cut and discharged from the machine.

Common VFFS Bag Styles

The available sealing style depends on the selected machine structure, film material and finished bag dimensions.

Back Seal

Suitable for standard pillow bags and efficient general-purpose packaging for powders, granules and liquids.

Three-Side Seal

Creates a flat package with sealed edges on three sides, suitable for small sachets and sample packaging.

Four-Side Seal

Provides a neat, flat package with sealing on four sides for small-dose and multi-lane applications.
