How to Install & Commission the ZONESUN ZS-SCF1 Sauce & Honey Filling Machine
Share
The ZONESUN ZS-SCF1 is an automatic weighing and quantitative filling machine designed for paste and viscous liquids — including honey, ketchup, chili sauce, plum sauce, doubanjiang, and peanut sesame sauce. With its precision weighing system and easy-to-operate controls, it delivers fast and consistent filling for small-scale food packaging operations. This guide walks you through the complete installation and commissioning process.

Watch the full commissioning and operation demo before you begin:
📦 Step 1: Unpacking & Inspection
- Remove all packaging materials and protective foam carefully.
- Inspect the machine frame, hopper, filling nozzle, weighing platform, and control panel for any shipping damage.
- Verify all accessories are included: power cable, spare parts kit, filling nozzles, and operation manual.
- Place the machine on a flat, stable surface close to your power outlet and product supply.
⚡ Step 2: Electrical Connection
- Connect the machine to a standard power outlet — ensure voltage matches your local supply specification.
- Ensure the main switch is OFF before making any electrical connections.
- Ground the machine properly to protect the weighing sensor from electrical interference.
- Power on and verify the control panel display initializes correctly with no error codes.
🍯 Step 3: Hopper & Nozzle Setup
- Install the appropriate filling nozzle for your product viscosity — use a wider nozzle for thick pastes like doubanjiang or peanut sauce.
- Attach the hopper securely and confirm all seals and gaskets are in place to prevent leaks.
- For heated products (e.g., honey): allow the hopper heating element to reach operating temperature before filling.
- Fill the hopper with your product and check for smooth flow through the nozzle with no blockages.
⚖️ Step 4: Weighing Calibration
- Place an empty container on the weighing platform and press Zero/Tare on the control panel.
- Enter your target fill weight on the control panel (e.g., 500g, 1000g).
- Run 5 test fills and weigh each output on an external scale to verify accuracy.
- Adjust the fine-tuning parameter on the control panel if the fill weight is consistently over or under target.
- Re-run tests until all 5 fills are within your acceptable tolerance (typically ±2g).
▶️ Step 5: Trial Run & Speed Adjustment
- Start the machine at a low filling speed for the initial trial run.
- Observe the full filling cycle: container placement → nozzle open → fill to target weight → nozzle close → container removal.
- Check for dripping after the nozzle closes — adjust the anti-drip parameter if needed.
- Gradually increase speed to your target production rate once accuracy and drip control are confirmed stable.
✅ Final Checklist Before Production
- ☑ Machine placed on a stable, level surface.
- ☑ Hopper filled and nozzle flow confirmed smooth.
- ☑ Tare/zero set correctly for your container.
- ☑ Fill weight accuracy verified within tolerance.
- ☑ Anti-drip function confirmed working.
- ☑ Operator trained on control panel and emergency stop.
🔧 Common Troubleshooting Tips
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inaccurate fill weight | Weighing sensor not zeroed / vibration interference | Re-tare the scale; place machine on stable surface |
| Nozzle dripping after fill | Anti-drip parameter too low / nozzle worn | Increase anti-drip value; inspect and replace nozzle |
| Product not flowing smoothly | Product too viscous / nozzle blocked | Warm up product; clean or replace nozzle |
| Control panel error code | Sensor fault / power fluctuation | Power cycle machine; check sensor connections |
| Inconsistent fill weights | Hopper running low / air bubbles in product | Refill hopper; stir product to remove air pockets |
