Heat Shrink Wrapping Machine FAQ

What is the difference between a shrink tunnel and a shrink wrapper?

A shrink tunnel only applies heat to products that have already been wrapped. A complete shrink wrapper also applies, cuts and seals the film before shrinking.

What is the difference between L-bar and side sealing?

L-bar sealing creates seals around a defined package length. Continuous side sealing is generally more suitable for automatic production and products with varying lengths.

Which film is suitable for my product?

Film selection depends on product weight, package appearance, required strength, sealing method and tunnel conditions. Product and film testing is recommended.

Can one tunnel handle products of different sizes?

Many tunnels can handle different products within their configured opening and load range. Temperature and conveyor speed may need adjustment for each package.

Why does the film wrinkle after shrinking?

Wrinkles may be caused by unsuitable film, incorrect film width, poor positioning, insufficient heat, excessive speed or uneven tunnel airflow.

Can a shrinking machine connect to an existing production line?
