Should I choose weighing or volumetric cup filling?
Weighing is generally more suitable when fill weight is important or when material density varies. Volumetric cups can provide a simpler, faster solution for uniform, free-flowing products with relatively stable bulk density.
What is the difference between powder and granule fillers?
Fine powders are commonly dosed with an auger system. Granules are usually handled using weighing, volumetric cup or counting systems. Material samples should be tested if the product contains both powder and particles.
Can one machine package different granules?
A machine may handle several materials within its operating range, but settings, measuring cups, feeding parameters or contact parts may need adjustment. Each material should be evaluated separately.
Can fragile snacks be packaged without breaking?
The feeding height, discharge path, hopper structure and conveyor speed can be configured to reduce impact. Actual breakage risk should be assessed using representative product samples.
Can the machine make bags automatically?
A VFFS machine forms bags from roll film before filling and sealing. A premade pouch machine instead feeds and opens finished pouches before dosing and sealing.
